A few weeks after the launch of the Ford E-Transit Courier, the smallest electric van of the American company, now it is the turn of its passenger version, the new Email Tournament. Although both models are practically identical, the first is oriented to the transport of goods and the second to passengers.
Like its sister, the newcomer is characterized by having a rather striking design for its category, with a certainly American aesthetic that connects with proposals such as the Explorer. The inverted L-shaped headlights are attached to a completely blind rectangular grille, while the black-painted pillars produce a “floating roof” effect.
Black plastic wheel arches and satin gray bumper protectors give it an SUV touch, something that is reinforced thanks to the completely horizontal hood. Of course, there is no shortage of roof bars and sliding rear doors so typical of this type of van. The rear is undoubtedly the most conventional part, with vertical pilots located at the ends.
The interior flees from the spartan appearance expected of a commercial vehicle, betting on modernity through a peculiar square steering wheel and a non-integrated display made up of two 12-inch screens, one for the digital instrumentation and the other for touch screens. the SYNC 4 infotainment system.
The Ford E-Tourneo Courier will hit the market next year
The E-Tourneo Courier is approved for five passengers. Unfortunately, the second row doesn’t have individual seats, as the bench is split 60/40.
