On the back of the registration certificate there are a whole series of data, indicated through a small legend. They take into consideration the owner’s personal data, the registration date, the make and type of vehicle, the number of axles, the engine capacity, the power and many other data.
Every aspect of our car, in fact, will be indicated in the booklet. Among these, there is also the capacity of the vehicle, i.e. the approved weight that can be transported during a move. Obviously, it will be expressed in kilograms.
In case of travel and, therefore, of the presence of a large number of bags, it is always better to understand what is allowed to do and what is not. In fact, luggage must be arranged – by law – in such a way as not to obstruct the driver’s view. Furthermore, they must be arranged so as not to “roam” freely inside the passenger compartment, for safety reasons.
Objects can be placed on the roof of the car in case of need, thanks to a special luggage rack. Even here, however, it will be appropriate to understand how far to go. Inside the car, too, you should know that by law it is not allowed to carry objects that protrude more than 30 centimeters out of the window.
In the event of irregular loading, the forces of order will have the right to fine the transgressor with a fine ranging between 87 and 344 euros. To this, moreover, could be added the deduction of three points from the driving license. Inquiring about the maximum load allowed and the ideal way to arrange everything, therefore, is essential to avoid incurring very heavy penalties.
