The wipers are composed as follows: frame that goes to support the blade, arm that supports the frame and blade or rubber that rests on the windshield and that manages to remove water, snow or dust with the movement. Then of course the mechanical component is added: control unit, motor and fuses. These elements can malfunction or suddenly break completely, due to the breakage of the brushes which occurs when they are worn.
The cause can also be related to a motor failure that regulates its operation, for example there may be a blown fuse, this occurs in the event of an overload of the motor itself or a fault in the relay. The latter is a part which allows you to control the speed of the wipers and to activate or deactivate them when they are not needed.
How to solve the problem and avoid sudden malfunction
To solve the problem you simply need to perform maintenance which should really be periodic. The brushes should be checked and replaced at least once a year, the time varies according to the use made of the wipers. Where it often rains or snows, these must be changed systematically to avoid suddenly finding yourself without them.
Regardless of what the cause of the malfunction is, of the type of the same, the problem it should never be underestimated. You should never drive without enjoying the help of these components because in some way it goes against the law and therefore against the highway code.
