Driving a car is a matter of great responsibility towards oneself as well as towards others. It is enough to make even a minor mistake, to get a huge fine or more.
Every day we see everything, people who commit absurd crimes being aware of it and people who find themselves instead in unpleasant situations without expecting it.
Unfortunately, one is always amazed, especially when someone thinks they can get away with making rather serious mistakes. The police forces cannot turn a blind eye and the law does not admit reasons and justifications. So whoever makes a mistake pays.
Here’s what happened in Florence
For example, a Romanian citizen in Florence was stopped by the traffic police while he was in the parking lot of a supermarket aboard a Renault Megane. He was carrying a mattress in the car, which made the police suspicious.
The local police, going to the bottom of the matter, realized not only that the car was not owned by them but also that the man did not have a driving license.
The initial fine was 5,000 euros. But that’s not all. Because apparently Renault actually belongs to another person who, following extensive checks, it turned out that he owned 219 other cars.

The owner of all these vehicles was sanctioned with a fine of 116 thousand euros, therefore a 530 euro fine for each car in his name.
A few days later the agents of the Rifredi station stopped the Romanian citizen again, this time while he was driving a van belonging to him. Unfortunately, however, he was engaged in transporting construction waste without the relevant documents. The completely illegal act was followed by a second fine, amounting to 3,200 euros.
Beyond the extreme illegalities committed by both owner of the means that from the Romanian citizen, users must know that by law, you can drive a car registered to a family member who does not live together or to a friend, but you must also respect the times indicated.
By law, you can drive an unregistered car for a maximum continuous time that does not exceed 30 days. If there should be the need to drive the vehicle for a period longer than the set limit, it is necessary to report it to the Civil Motorization. Otherwise, the fines you risk are quite steep.
