Two new MotoGP rounds, but… – MotoriNews

The new World Cup calendar has been announced for months now MotoGP. No less than 21 Grands Prix scheduled, with two new events which have already aroused surprise. In fact, these are two new countries to visit for the World Championship, namely the Kazakhstan and theIndia. Non-European nations that would make the next MotoGP championship a season already from record (Here because). The conditional, however, is a must, given that next to the events mentioned there are still the asterisks, to indicate the still unconfirmed homologation of the layouts. But not only that: boss Dorna Carmelo Ezpeleta he took the opportunity to clarify some points.

MotoGP, not like in 2022

The circuit of Sokol is an absolute new entry in the world of engines. A track into Kazakhstan newly built, which has every intention of wanting to host a Grand Prix MotoGP. The perplexities had not been lacking previously, first of all for his own placementeven too close to war zones… TheIndia instead, and its circuit in particular, i engines have already seen them worldwide, even if we are not talking about motorcycles but four wheels, precisely the Formula 1. Two very valid alternatives that you want to include in the MotoGP calendar for one reason very precise. The Finnish KymiRing project is deceased even before it is fully completed, a valid substitute is needed. Five weeks off there have been too many this year and no one in MotoGP would like to experience a situation like this again. That’s why at least one of the two appointments will definitely be entered, save upheavals worthy of the hypothetical and by now impossible Finnish stop…

“Things have changed”

But these are not the only reasons that have pushed Sleep looking further east than Europe. There are new and interesting marketsalready flourishing, and a MotoGP race would be an excellent showcase for everyone. Carmelo Ezpeleta however, he admitted that it’s not all downhill, quite the contrary. “We have to complete the contractual partwhich is the most complicated” the Dorna boss told Motorsport, referring in particular to the possibility away in India. “We also know that there is a need for tidy up the circuit.” Important work to be carried out therefore to make it suited at the MotoGP World Championship. In Kazakhstan, on the other hand, it is currently doing decisively cold, -20° C, as pointed out by Ezpeleta. But there don’t seem to be any others at the moment difficulty of sorts, at least on the technical side. The perplexity we have already exposed them before… At the moment the two GPs are on the calendar, but it remains to be seen whether they will actually take place confirmed.
