Built by YouTuber WhoIsKyran, the cargo trailer is a full-time home that he lives in with his girlfriend and their dog. Measuring 20 feet long and eight feet wide, it packs a lot of living space into a small area. Equipped with shower, composting toilet, fully equipped kitchen and queen size bed. The side-by-side workstations give Kyran and his girlfriend the space to work remotely, even when off the grid.
What makes this cargo trailer conversion so outstanding is the build quality and space utilization. A large mirror hides a built-in medicine cabinet. The wardrobe includes hooks for hanging brooms and faster, as well as shelves for shoes. The back door folds down to become a deck, adding outdoor living space. Not a square inch is wasted, making the trailer look even bigger than it actually is.
Power comes from a lithium battery with a capacity of 400 amp-hours, recharged by solar panels on the roof. A 100-gallon capacity water tank lasts just over two weeks. A small HVAC unit provides heating and cooling, with a diesel heater providing additional warmth in cold weather. Even the composting toilet is well thought out and includes an external ventilation fan to keep the living room smelling like eau de toilette, not eau de poo.
