The Ram Revolution electric truck shows off its face in a teaser video

In less than a month we will see Ram’s new full-size electric pickup truck. Or rather, we’re getting closer to seeing a draft future production models. The Ram Revolution made its debut in early January, but a new teaser video from Ram offers a glimpse of what the truck looks like now.

Towards the end of this minute-long video posted on social media, we are treated to a glimpse of the Revolution’s concept grille, or rather, its lack thereof. With no Hemi V8 to feed, the space is filled by prominent RAM branding, flanked by LED daytime running lights surrounding the headlamps. The truck shown in the video appears to be a full-scale clay model, but the design matches up with a recent Ram teaser showing an outline of the lights and flaming badge.

Ram started the Revolution teaser train just over a year ago, but back then we saw very few trucks. Additionally, the initial teaser didn’t quite match up with the later teasers. The thick LEDs surrounding the headlights didn’t appear in the initial design sketches, but we believe this new video represents the final form of the concept.

As for the rest of the truck, from what we’ve seen it will adopt a similar direction to the Chevrolet Silverado EV versus the F-150 Lightning. Whereas Ford’s award-winning EV pickup looks a lot like the regular F-150, the Silverado EV is a significant departure from the combustion-powered model. The cab and bed form one unibody, with the windshield further forward and the round hood shorter at the front. Technically, it’s now frunk as it will be unloaded into storage. Or rather, we assume it will. There are some EVs like the Mercedes-Benz EQC that just cover the area.

We already know exactly when the Ram Revolution BEV concept will debut. The special event takes place on January 5 at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, check Rambling About Cars podcasts for the latest EV auto news and more, available below.
