This 1:18 scale model of the Ferrari 296 GTB has been reproduced in resin by Amalgam. Only 199 pieces in limited series.

This is not a real Ferrari 296 GTB, but a 1:8 scale model created by Amalgam of the new Prancing Horse. Don’t worry, we were fooled too, but the accuracy of the model is truly amazing, which is probably why the price for one is 12,062 euros.
Ferrari 296 GTB, the 1:8 scale version
The scale model specialists Amalgam have unveiled their latest offering, a Ferrari 296 GTB in 1:8 scale beautifully recreated. The company maintains a long-term partnership with Ferrari, so the handmade models are truly accurate and officially approved by Ferrari Centro Stile.
The scale model is based on the original CAD drawings and is completely manufactured with the highest quality materials using Ferrari paint codes and specifications. It took over 300 hours to complete each unit e 3,000 working hours of development on the 296 GTB.
From the photographs it is difficult to find fault with the model, even the tires have the same graphics as the real tyres Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. The attention to detail even extends to the interior, “accessible” through functional doors that can be opened. The dashboard looks almost the same as the real model and the seat upholstery even has red stitching.
They will be produced in total 199 models Amalgam Ferrari 296 GTB in 1:8 scale. The first models have already been shipped and can be displayed at Ferrari offices and dealerships throughout Central Europe. In addition, a smaller 1:12 scale model will be available in the future, but we don’t know the detailed prices yet.
The new GTB: its characteristics
The Ferrari 296 GTB, we remember that it was presented on June 24, 2021 officially as heir to the F8 Tributo. After the 1968 Dino 206 GT, this car represents the return of Ferrari’s V6-engined model.

Other plug-in hybrid features include a ‘brake by wire’ braking system with 398mm front and 360mm rear discs, Multimatic shock absorbers and extensive use of carbon fiber for both the interior and exterior.
In terms of performance, the Ferrari 296 GTB goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 330 km/h.
