Cadillac CT4 Average Transaction Price Jumped 11.5 Percent In Q3 2022

The average transaction price for the Cadillac CT4 luxury sedan rose 11.5 percent in the United States during the third quarter of 2022.

On average, new Cadillac CT4 buyers paid $53,804 for the luxury sedan from June to September. During that same time frame, CT4 sales increased 178.4 percent year-over-year to 2,581 units. That means CT4 pulled in $138.8 million in revenue during that time.

The increase in the average price of the CT4 can be attributed to the expanding availability of the top-tier models. In other words, it means that a better equipped version of the CT4 is more widely available to consumers than the more basic Luxury trim, which only has basic features and doesn’t come standard with many of the options found on the Premium Luxury and Sport trims. In turn, this means that consumers are choosing higher-end, more expensive trims with more content.

In addition, the very high-performance CT4-V Blackwing is also likely to have contributed to increasing the average transaction price from last year’s figure. All-new for the 2022 model year, the CT4-V Blackwing starts production in mid-2021, meaning it’s not a factor in sales results or transaction prices for Q3 2021. To note, the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing starts at $ 59,990 while the 2023 model starts at $ 1,500 higher than $61,890.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT4 features a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), clocking in at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Models with this engine earn the designation 350T at deklid as part of Cadillac’s torque-based nomenclature. From there, a turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine (production code L3B) is optional on the CT4 Premium Luxury, which produces 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This model wears the 500T badge. The sportier CT4-V is powered by the same turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine, but tuned to produce 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.

The 2023 Blackwing CT4-V utilizes a twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LF4), capable of producing up to 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. All of those horses hit the pavement in either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the 10-speed automatic, dumping power exclusively through the two rear wheels. All CT4 variants use the marque’s luxury Alpha 2 platform, and production occurs at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan for all markets except China. Units for the 2023 model year started rolling off the assembly line on July 18th2022.
