The 2023 Cadillac XT5 adds three new exterior colors to its palette: Argent Silver Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Here’s our first look at the new Red hue.

Given the production code GNT and the paintwork code WA-170H, the Radiant Red Tintcoat is one of eight exterior colors offered on this luxury crossover, which include:

  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Metallic Lattes
  • Rosewood metallic
  • Metallic Black Star
  • Wilder’s Metal
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Luxury Blue Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)

The Radiant Red Tintcoat color is a surcharge item that adds an additional $1,125 to the price of the vehicle. This color is available in all trims and works with all interior colorways except Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents. Here are the five interior colorways:

The first-generation crossover is currently making its debut for the 2017 model year, with updates being introduced for the 2020 model year.

Cadillac originally planned to give the XT5 a new second-generation model for the 2023 model year. However, the generation overhaul was later postponed. What will happen now is that the XT5 will see a next-generation model, but it will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

As a reminder, the Cadillac XT5 uses Cadillac’s C1 platform and is offered with two powertrain options, including a turbocharged 2.0L I4 petrol engine (build code LSY), as well as a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 petrol engine (build code LGX). Output is routed through a Cadillac nine-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive as standard in the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims, with all-wheel drive as an optional extra. On the Sport trim, all-wheel drive is standard.

Production of the XT5 for North America took place at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. The 2023 Cadillac XT5 starts rolling off the assembly line on June 10th2022.
