Here’s The New Radiant Red Tintcoat Color

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 adds three new exterior colors to its palette: Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Here’s our first look at the new Red hue.

Given the production code GNT and the paintwork code WA-170H, the Radiant Red Tintcoat is one of eight exterior colors offered on the luxury sedan, which include:

  • Black Crow
  • Metallic Orange Flame
  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • White Summit
  • Metallic Wave
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Midnight Steel Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)

The Radiant Red Tintcoat color is a surcharge item that adds an additional $1,225 to the sedan’s price. It is available in all three “regular” CT5 trim levels – Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport – and can be combined with all four interior colorways:

  • Cinnamon with Jet Black accents
  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Sangria with Jet Black accents
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 comes with only a few changes and updates over the 2022 model year, including adding the Driver Assistance Package as standard as well as the addition of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system to the list of options. CT5 2023 also gets a new Bronze Accent Pack on CT5 as well as on CT5-V, as well as a new CT5 Blue Accent pack, while the CT5 Diamond Sky Special Edition Pack is gone.

The luxury sedan is powered by the Alpha 2 platform and offered with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), developing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This upgraded four-cylinder is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Meanwhile, a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY), with 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, is optional on the CT5 Premium Luxury. Both engines are mated to the luxury marque’s 10-speed automatic transmission. All of the CT5 trims are offered in rear- or all-wheel drive.

Production of the 2023 Cadillac CT5 began at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 18th2022.
