Porsche, Recaro Selling Limited Gaming Chairs Only 911 Units

With a collaboration that began in the 60s with the 911, Porsche and Recaro share a passion and enthusiasm for sport, competition and iconic design. Currently, these companies are working together to present a limited edition gaming chair that is claimed to convey 100 percent racing spirit even off the track.

The Porsche x Recaro gaming chair was unveiled at the 24 hours of Le Mans virtual race. The Porsche 911 GT3 R that inspired the design of a new gaming chair is also presented for the first time as part of a virtual racing series. Of course, this gaming chair in red, white and black will be used by the Porsche eSports team.

The Porsche gaming chair is a limited version of the Recaro Exo Platinum. The headrests have belt tracks and are decorated with the Porsche crest on the front and the Recaro logo on the back, while the 5D’s armrests come with aluminum supports and a few adjustments. The base is also made of lightweight aluminum alloy.

Other features include stepless adjustment, which allows seat height adjustment at any time. The chair casters are copolymer reinforced and designed for all floors. Maximum loading capacity is 131 pounds (150 kilograms).

Inspired by motorsport upholstery and claimed to bring an authentic racing feel from the race track to the monitor. Porsche says that the gaming chair is designed for long distances and lots of virtual spin, offering “the ultimate gaming experience while offering back comfort and health”.

The Porsche x Recaro gaming chair costs $2,499. Although expensive, let’s remind you that Porsche once sold the Office Chair RS with a price tag of $6,750.

The limited edition Porsche x Recaro gaming chair is made in Germany and produced in a limited run of 911 units worldwide. Now available at the Porsche Design Store, authorized Porsche dealers, and through the Porsche online shop.
