IIHS 2022 Crash Test Compilation Featuring Tesla, Chevy, Subaru, Ford, and Jeep

Kick off your year with some automotive carnage. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests dozens of vehicles each year. Evaluation videos are on his website and YouTube page. With 2023 just getting started, the agency crunched the numbers and found the five most watched clips of 2022. Plus, the group added a jazzy score.

At number five, there’s the agency’s reassessment of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. When IIHS tested the 2019 Wrangler in 2020, the SUV flipped over. Jeep answered with change the front structure of the vehicle. However, the vehicle still overturned. The security group gives a model a Marginal scores in the front crash test with little overlap.

Evaluation of the 2021 four-door Ford Bronco was last year’s fourth most popular IIHS crash test video. Older videos are in second place. In 2013, IIHS evaluated the 2013 Chevrolet Spark. The video became the third most viewed clip on its channel with nearly 5.4 million views to date. Judging by its placement on this list, its popularity shows no signs of ending.

The most-watched IIHS crash test of 2022 was the evaluation of the 2021 Tesla Model Y. It’s an interesting video as the small overlapping front impact ripped the vehicle’s wheels apart, but the EV kept rolling. Barriers along the side of the room stopped Model Y.

IIHS provides 2021 Model Y, Top Safety Pick+ award. It received Good ratings in all categories except for an acceptable score for the headlights on the Remote trim.
