Rolls-Royce Delivers A Record High Of 6,021 Cars In 2022

The global automotive market is currently facing many problems, but there are still car manufacturers that have managed to increase their sales results. Rolls-Royce was one of last year’s unexpected winners setting record high sales worldwide. In fact, 2022 is the first year in the manufacturer’s 118-year history to deliver more than 6,000 vehicles in a single 12-month period.

With a total of 6,021 sales in 50 countries around the world last year, Rolls-Royce enjoyed another year of record sales. The Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as the United States, experienced the highest year-on-year sales growth of all regions. The Americas, in turn, remain the largest single territory for the British brand, while China’s importance is growing as the country is now the second largest Rolls-Royce market. The Goodwood-based company is also seeing record sales in the UK and Germany.

More importantly, Rolls-Royce enjoys increased demand for Bespoke commissions such that customers pay an average of over $500,000 for their new Rolls-Royce. The Middle East is a leading region of brands for Bespoke products.

“2022 has been an important year for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Not only have we revealed the Rolls‑Royce Specter, our marque’s first all-electric series model to the world, this is also the first year we’ve delivered more than 6,000 cars in a single 12-month period, with demand strong across the product portfolio. But as a true House of Luxury, sales are not the only measure of our success: we are not and never will be a volume producer,” commented Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce.

Talking about the brand portfolio, Cullinan maintains its position as the brand’s best-selling model, followed by Ghost, which is its best seller in the Asia-Pacific region. The automaker is also proud to say demand for the Specter, its first fully electric production model, is currently exceeding expectations but no detailed information on the number of orders placed so far. First customer deliveries of the ultra-luxury EV are slated for the fourth quarter of this year.
