2023 Cadillac Escalade Loses These Three Paint Colors

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade brings some minor changes to the luxury marque’s most popular SUV. One of them is the removal of the three exterior colors that were previously offered for the 2022 model year vehicles.

Cadillac Society has learned that the following three colors will be available again for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade (relevant paint codes are listed in brackets):

  • Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)
  • Satin Steel Metal (G9K)
  • Metallic Wilder (GED)

Satin Steel Metallic and Wilder Metallic are available for an additional $625, while the Infrared Tintcoat adds $1,225 to the overall cost of the Cadillac Escalade. All three paint colors are available on all Escalade trim levels.

However, three new exterior hues have been introduced to the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. They are as follows:

  • Argent Silver Metal (GXD)
  • Dark Emerald Metal (G6N)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)

It’s worth noting that while Dark Emerald Metallic has a similar name to the Dark Emerald Frost hue offered exclusively on the Cadillac Blackwing super sedan, the colors are not the same. It will have a metallic finish rather than the matte finish offered on the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing.

Joining the Escalade lineup for the 2023 model year is the all-new Cadillac Escalade-V, which combines high performance and ultra-luxury into one powerful machine. The Escalade-V will feature the same supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4) as the CT5-V Blackwing. Under the hood of a full-size luxury SUV, that engine is tuned to produce 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful vehicle ever made by the luxury marque.

For those looking for a more approachable Escalade, the rest of the lineup offers a choice of two engines. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 (production code L87), with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LM2), which produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
