2023 Cadillac CT4-V Loses These Three Paint Colors

Minor changes were made to the Cadillac CT4-V for the 2023 model year, including the removal of the three exterior paint colors previously available on 2022 model year vehicles.

The following three paint colors, which required additional equipment costs, were removed from the Cadillac CT4-V after the 2022 model year was built (relevant paint codes are listed in parentheses):

  • Satin Steel Metal (G9K)
  • Metallic Shadows (GJI)
  • Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)

However, despite the loss of those three exterior paint colors, three new paint colors will be available to order on the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V. They are as follows (the relevant paint codes are listed in brackets):

  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Argent Silver Metal (GXD)
  • Midnight Steel Metal (GXU)

Each of the three new colors also comes at an additional cost.

It should be noted that all the colors mentioned above are specific to the Cadillac CT4-V and no top-of-the-range Blackwing CT4-V super sedan.

As a reminder, the Cadillac CT4-V sports a turbocharged 2.7L I4 engine (production code L3B), tuned to produce 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. That engine is mated to the luxury marque’s 10-speed automatic transmission, and power can be transferred to the two or four rear wheels. Production of the CT4-V coexists with the regular CT4 along with the CT4-V Blackwing at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

The Cadillac CT4-V has been one of the vehicles in the luxury marque’s lineup to suffer production bottlenecks and feature constraints due to an ongoing global microchip shortage. Features such as heated steering wheel along with heated and ventilated seats were briefly restricted from sport-inspired luxury sedans, although both have recently been reintroduced as the microchip shortage situation continues to develop. Previously, production of the CT4 range as a whole was paused for a few weeks.
