BMW M3 Gets Up To 720 HP From G-Power

Even in stock form, the BMW M3 is one of the most powerful performance sedans in the world. There are always customers who want power, and this is where G-Power comes to the rescue. The tuning specialist from Germany has a new package for the fast Bavarian sedan and brings a healthy increase in power over stock figures. You can choose from three available power kits and bring the 3.0-liter inline-six’s output to your desired power level.

The so-called G3M Bi-Turbo keeps the original car’s factory twin-turbocharged S58 but replaces the OEM software with a custom code. Along with a new exhaust system and other minor hardware upgrades, the 3.0 L6 now produces up to 720 horsepower (529 kilowatts) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton-meters) of torque in its top version. There are also less powerful 670-hp (493-kW) and 620-hp (456-kW) variants using the same hardware but a different engine control unit (ECU).

G-Power also introduced a new, more aggressive look to match the increased output. There’s a carbon fiber package with new bumper splitters and side skirts. More importantly, the G-Power also offers a fixed Dynamic rear wing, which can be seen on two of the three pilot cars equipped with the G3M package (see the photo gallery above).

Last but not least, there are currently two sets of wheels available – forged Hurrican RR rims (on the green car) and Hurricane RS wheels (on the matte black car). Both sets come in the same 9×20″ / 10.5×21″ front / rear sizes with 285/30 R20 and 295/25 R21 tires. New Venturi RR and RS carbon hoods are currently being developed in addition to existing components. It will be sold in either a bare carbon fiber finish or partially painted.

If you want a modified Bimmer fast with a long roof, G-Power also recently introduced a tuning package for the M340i, sold in sedan and wagon forms. With the available GP-510 package, the real fast can be tuned to 510 hp (380 kW) and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm), matching the output of the stock M3 sedan or M4 coupe. Of course BMW is now also selling the M3 Touring.
