Undisguised 2024 Cadillac Celestiq Spotted Undergoing Testing

Finally revealed in production form to much fanfare back in October 2022, the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is poised to set a new standard for opulence and comfort as the luxury marque’s future flagship sedan. Recently, Cadillac Society spied a prototype of the ultra-luxury EV sedan undergoing testing, one that’s almost identical to the production model.

While it is extremely close to the production model, this 2024 Cadillac Celestiq prototype lacks a handful of exterior trim pieces, and, of course, a complete paint job. Interestingly, it also sports a slightly revised mirror cap design, although the mirrors still feature two visible camera lenses. Additionally, it’s worth noting that, despite being wound down, the rear windows are still exposed within the window frame. As such, we wonder if its possible that the orientation of the wheel cutouts and their integration with the rear doors would prevent the rear windows from sliding down all the way.

Peering through the windows of this 2024 Cadillac Celestiq prototype reveals the 55-inch diagonal pillar-to-pillar display panel, which stretches from the instrument cluster to the passenger side of the dash. This is only one of five interior displays mounted throughout the vehicle.

Other displays include the center stack display, along with one 12.6-inch display affixed to the backs of the front seats for each of the two the rear passengers. Additionally, a 41-speaker array relays sound inside the cabin, and hand-finished metalwork creates an artistic interior environment.

In terms of power, the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq features a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive propulsion system. Cadillac estimates that this setup will be good for approximately 300 miles of driving range on a single charge while providing a stunning 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. This enables the ultra-luxury sedan to sprint from from zero to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

Riding on the BEV3 platform, the electric ultra luxury sedan will be hand built in very small numbers at the GM Global Technical center, allowing its builders to craft even the most minute detail and customization option. To that end, it should come as no surprise that the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq will carry a starting price tag of over $300,000. The ultra luxury sedan is expected to begin production in December 2023, while the Cadillac House at Vanderbilt provides the perfect environment for customers to craft their ideal vehicle.
