Audi RS7 By ABT Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Performance Liftback With 750 HP

Posted on

In May this year, ABT Sportsilne launched the RS6 Legacy Edition to honor the RS6’s two decades of history. The German tuning firm is now continuing the line with the RS7 Legacy Edition, which, in turn, celebrates the 10th anniversary of the performance upgrade. Limited to just 200 units, the ABT version of the RS7 features visual and performance upgrades that match the go-fast wagons from a few months ago.

The matte gray RS7 you see in the gallery below comes with a new ABT turbocharger and intercooler kit, as well as custom engine software. The car is based on the European specification speedy liftback, which has 621 horsepower (463 kilowatts) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton-meters) of torque in standard form. After modifications in the tuning shop, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 750 hp (559 kW) and 723 pound-feet (980 Nm) of torque. This figure corresponds to the output of the RS6 Legacy Edition.

The vehicle rises lower to the ground thanks to suspension upgrades including coil springs and stabilizers on the front and rear axle. New 22-inch forged wheels in gloss black finished with 295/30 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires visible on all four corners. With all these changes, ABT promises “excellent handling on dry roads and very balanced performance on wet roads”.

This performance increase certainly comes with a matching and aggressive exterior appearance. Aero elements made of carbon fiber can be seen on the front fascia, around the side skirts, and at the rear. There’s also a small carbon fiber spoiler attached to the trunk lid, as well as new mirror caps made from the same ultra-durable material. Improved sound performance is provided by four circular outlets 4.016 inches (102 millimeters) in diameter integrated into the rear diffuser.

ABT wants at least $113,265 (102,600 euros) for the RS7 Legacy Edition. However, that doesn’t appear to include the price of the donor car, which starts at $127,800 for the 2024 model year in the United States. The tuning company plans to assemble only 200 units of the special package.
