Lamborghini Urus Performante In Rally Mode Looks Expensive Fun

With an MSRP of over 200k, the regular Lamborghini Urus is not a cheap car. Even more so when you’ll consider the other non-negotiables associated with owning a vehicle – and an Italian at that.

Then again, if you want a super SUV that can double as a rally racer, the Lamborghini Urus Performante with added power and Rally Mode should be your best bet. However, that’s for an additional $30,000.

If you’re wondering if the Urus Performante is worth all that money, Lambo’s latest promotional video might convince you.

The video we’ve embedded at the top of this page features content creator Paul Wallace behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Urus Performante. He joins automaker Mario Fasanetto Attributes and Performance Developers, providing an overview of what Rally Mode is all about on off-road tracks.

As we discovered while driving the previous Urus Performante, Rally mode reconfigures the SUV’s anti-roll and damping systems. This allows the rear axle of this super SUV to live a little so that it can pass corners more freely than before. In short – more fun.

However, the Urus Performante is not just about added power and the availability of Rally mode. It’s also 104 pounds (47 kilograms) lighter than before. The chassis has also been lowered by 20 millimeters (0.8 in), while the tracks are now 16 mm (0.6 in) wider. There are additional carbon fiber fender flairs to accompany the wider track, armed with optional 23-inch or 22-inch forged titanium bolt wheels and bespoke Pirelli Trofeo R tires.

The result is an off-road lover SUV meant to tackle dirt and gravel at high speeds. As the video shows, even creators feel like they’ve become professional racers, thanks to the babysitters hired by the new Urus Performante.

It sure looks like a lot of fun, but that’s if you can afford to just goof around in such an expensive SUV money isn’t a problem.
