Tom’s 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon Lineup Includes Turbo GR86, Supra Tourer

Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS) is the first in a long list of auto shows we’ll have to watch for the rest of the year. It’s coming out this January, and Tom’s Racing has announced its lineup for the Makuhari Messe-based auto show. Needless to say, the TAS 2023 Tom booth will be filled with sports cars and surprisingly, a swanky sedan.

One of the highlights of Tom’s booth was the Century – a very formal four door that was usually delivered and used to transport Japanese government officials. For TAS, Tom’s outfitted the Century with performance bits and subtle exterior additions like exposed exhaust pipes and BBS wheels.

Tom’s is also showcasing the wide-body Toyota Supra, which comes with a number of upgrades to make it even faster. Apart from the uptuned BMW B58 engine, the turbo has been replaced with a high-flow type. The updated performance is combined with an aerodynamic body kit and ends with a specially developed exhaust system called Tom’s Barrel.

A Tom’s Supra Touring will also be shown, which has a refined chassis focused on stability while cruising.

Meanwhile, the turbocharged Toyota GR86 will also be featured by Tom’s Racing at the auto show. It was dressed up with a widebody kit although power figures from the forced induced engine were not disclosed at this time.

The Toyota tuning specialist also showcases the Japanese automaker’s luxurious side, in particular the tuned versions of the Lexus LC500 Convertible and GS F. The latter was produced by Kazuki Nakajima – a former Formula One driver who raced for the Williams-Toyota team from 2007 to 2009. Meanwhile, the LC500 Convertible comes with a widebody kit, racing suspension, a set of 21-inch aluminum wheels, and chassis struts, among other things.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2023 is scheduled to take place from January 13 to 15, 2023 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba City, Japan.
