The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Adds Earl Gray/Blue Exterior Color To The Palette

Jeep isn’t done making minor updates to the 2023 Gladiator just yet, and this one is minor. The automaker added Earl’s exterior colors to the model palette for the first time. It’s an additional $695 and is available to order now.

The new color – a gray with hints of aquamarine – is joined by High Velocity (another new color that replaced Snazzberry), Firecracker Red, Hydro Blue, Sarge Green, Silver Zynith, Sting-Gray, Granite Crystal, black, and Bright White. Jeep is making the new Earl color available across the entire Gladiator trim range after introducing it to the Gladiator Farout concept.

According to Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of the North American Jeep brand, the automaker received “a lot of positive feedback” after the color debuted on the concept. “We work to deliver what our customers want, and earl is the latest example of another standout color that speaks to our loyal and passionate Jeep community,” added Morrison.

Jeep brought a new Earl color, and one called Reign, to the Wrangler earlier this year, the latest trend for the off-road brand. The automaker has been playing around with the Gladiator and Wrangler color palettes over the past few years, adding colors like Tuscadero Pink and Gobi Tan to the available options.

The Gladiator didn’t receive another major update for the 2023 model year, but the brand added a new Freedom package as a headliner. Visual updates include badges, body-colored fender flares, black accents, black wheels, and leather upholstered fabric seats with black stitching. Jeep has also added LED headlamps, LED fog lights, a steel front bumper and rock rails. The $3,295 package is available for the Sport S trim on the Gladiator and Wrangler.

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sport costs $40,570, with the High Altitude trim starting at $55,875. The Pentastar brand’s 3.6-liter V6 engine is standard, which produces 285 horsepower (212 kilowatts) and 260 pound-feet (352 Newton-meters) of torque. A six-speed manual is standard on the Sport, Mojave and Rubicon. An eight-speed automatic is standard transmission on the Overland trim and optional on others.
