The 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show is almost here. The annual event opens to the public on November 18, but before that happens, the automaker will be unveiling several new vehicles and concepts for car enthusiasts to see in person. With less auto show activity in recent years, the LA Auto Show is looking very active.

Here’s a preview of the big debut underway, including the new and updated models and concept cars that will grace the floor of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Toyota Prius 2023

2023 Toyota Prius teaser

A new Prius hybrid is on its way. Toyota recently confirmed its shadowy teaser image does indeed feature a next-generation hybrid. Based on the teaser, the popular model looks slimmer than the current model.

Toyota will hold an official reveal for the 2023 Prius on November 16. You can watch the live broadcast here at Motor1.com.

Porsche 911 Dakar 2023

2023 Porsche 911 Dakar teaser

Off-roading in the Porsche 911 is nothing new, although the special version directly offered by Porsche is a great addition to the 911 family. Spy shots and teaser images leave little to the imagination, showing a current gen 911 with gnarly tires and more ground clearance to roam from the sidewalk.

Design details and powertrain specifications are still a mystery, but all will be revealed on November 16.

2024Subaru Impreza

The Front End of the 2024 Subaru Impreza Teaser

Subaru separated the Impreza and WRX into individual models in 2014. The current WRX is debuting for the 2022 model year, but the new Impreza will feature similar styling cues. The teaser image from Subaru shows off the new hexagonal grille and overall shape of the hatchback, but so far that’s all we have to go with it.

2023 Lucid Pure Water/Tour

Lucid Air Pure and Air Touring teasers

Lucid has attracted a lot of attention with its high-performance electric Air sedan, despite its high price tag. That changed at this year’s LA Auto Show with the Lucid Air Pure and Touring trim levels, with prices starting at $87,400. It’s still a healthy change, but it does bring Lucid into a more competitive market to take on other luxury EVs like the Porsche Taycan.

Featuring a dual-motor powertrain and distinctive styling, full details will be revealed on November 15.

Fiat 500 in 2023

Abarth 500 EV 2023 spy photo

We’ve seen spy photos and teasers for the hotter Abarth 500 electric model, but it’s scheduled to debut after The LA Auto Show has started. Whether that distracts from the rest of Fiat’s news in LA remains to be seen, but we do know the automaker has several announcements for the 500 that will drop during event media day, either November 16 or 17.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6

Hyundai Ionic 6

The sleek Ioniq 6 was revealed globally in July, but Los Angeles will mark the EV’s debut in North America. Don’t expect any design changes, but the powertrain stats and range figures could differ from the version our InsideEV counterpart was driving in October. The reveal took place on November 17.

2024 Kia Seltos

Like the Ioniq 6, the refreshed 2024 Kia Seltos was revealed in June 2022 to a global audience, but now it’s time to shine in North America. The subcompact SUV received a sizeable facelift considering it’s only a few years old, and that change will grace the model sold in the United States.

That said, Kia will announce power ratings and other stats for the North American version on November 17th.

2023 VinFast

VinFast Complete US Lineup

Based in Vietnam, VinFast is traveling in other parts of the world but the brand will have a new EV to show off in America in Los Angeles. Previously seen in the United States with show cars, production versions of the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 EV will be available for the first time. The debut took place on November 17th.

New Toyota bZ Series Models

Toyota bZ model teased

At the end of October, Toyota released a teaser for a new bZ model “in development”. The teaser includes a photo of a four-door car with a rear hatchback. To be honest, it looks a lot like the new Prius teaser, but Toyota specifically says it’s a bZ model.

That means something all-electric, and with Toyota already taking LA with its new Prius, this would be the perfect time to debut something extra. If so, expect some additional Toyota news to be released on November 16th.

Genesis Electrified GV70 2023/New Concept

The 2022 GV70 Electrified Genesis

The Genesis Electrified GV70 was first shown almost a year ago in China, but has finally landed on US shores for the 2022 LA Auto Show. And won’t be alone in the Genesis booth – the South Korean luxury brand is also planning to unveil a new global concept vehicle, which information still a mystery. Answers will be given on November 17th.

The 2022 LA Auto Show is open to the public from November 18-27 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
