The Ferrari Testarossa is one of the Prancing Horse’s most iconic offerings from the 1980s. Massive shocks along the sides make this model immediately recognizable, and the 4.9-liter flat 12-cylinder engine makes a terrific sound. These days, the Testarossa’s grade means many of them spend a lot of time in the garage. This owner is not afraid to take the machine to ride on snow-covered roads. The title of the video calls it a “respectably abused Ferrari”.
The plow truck hasn’t gone down this road yet, so there’s plenty of snow and mud to play with. Plus, this Testarossa doesn’t use winter tires. This is a recipe for lots of sliding.
The driver didn’t push the Testarossa too hard. Although there is a lot of drifting, it occurs at low speeds. At one point, the Ferrari made a 180-degree turn while crawling up a hill.

The driver also took the Testarossa to a local Subaru dealer. While the brand’s models may not be as sexy as the red Ferrari, their all-wheel-drive systems (with the exception of the BRZ) provide better traction in these conditions.
The clip ends with the driver sliding the Testarossa around an empty parking lot. It seems like a fun way to enjoy the winter weather.
Ferrari introduced Testarossa at the 1984 Paris Motor Show. It replaces 512 BBi. In addition to the new look, the engine now has four valves per cylinder. The plant produced 385 horsepower (287 kilowatts) in Europe and 380 hp (283 kW) in the United States.
Production of the Testarossa lasted until 1991, and the company built 7,177 units in that time. Ferrari replaced the model with a similar but more powerful 512 TR.
Testarossa had a prominent role in the popular 1980’s TV series Miami Representative. Show star Don Johnson originally drove a replica Ferrari Daytona Spyder. In season three, she switches to the white Testarossa.
